ARXUM® Suite Tracking

What is the ARXUM® Suite Tracking Module?

Track an object along its way through a chain of events in a supply chain or business process. From different sources supply chain events are captured and time-stamped on a blockchain. Gain real-time information about items and their attributes like state, location or present ownership.

ARXUM®'s vertical tracking module provides a set of smart contract templates for different related use cases. Several use cases are already prepared, such as e.g.

  • Business process tracking
  • Tracking of products within a production line
  • Logistics transportation tracking
  • In-house laboratory audit trailing
  • Paperless ID tracking (Barcode / RFID)

Further use cases can very easily be generated based on the existing smart contract templates.

Events
Process tracking is all about capturing relevant events during the process. The events are related to specific items, products, users or business processes. All events sent to the blockchain are directly time-stamped and stored. The smart contract interprets the event payload and applies the programmed business logic.

Item Status
A smart contract manages information on the whereabouts or current status of a specific item. The smart contract changes an item status according and conditionally to the supply chain events sent to the contract, based on the event's payload data. By defining a graph of possible states an item can assume and by setting the conditions required for state changes in a blockchain-based smart contract, you maintain full control on the whole life cycle of a tracked item. ARXUM® tracking smart contracts already contain a table for arbitrary state graph definitions.

Audit Trails
Capturing events and attaching an immutable time stamp on a blockchain creates a clear audit trail of the life cycle of an object or of the execution of a business process. A reporting tool generates client specific KPIs from documented events and provides an overview of processes and item journeys.

Alarms & Triggers
Declaring different types of events as critical allows for sending alarms as soon as such an event occurs. Also based on lapsed time, e.g. if certain processes take too long and need attention, alarms can be configured in the ARXUM® Suite.
